Let me have your views and comments on the following scenarios:

(1) Employee Charged with Stealing An employee is charged with stealing a pair of shoes from a shoe store in Swan Street in Bridgetown. They have been employed for 13 months and has a clean employment record with no warnings or suspensions. The news in relation to the charge was first brought to the attention of the employer when a coworker informed the Human Resources Manager of an article which appeared in the local newspaper. The employee is currently on three weeks’ vacation and Magistrate will be handing down a decision in five days. What action if any would you take if you were the Human Resources Manager? (2) Is this Sexual Harassment? Please comment below. Every other day, the delivery driver from a fast food restaurant brings food into the workplace for employees who order online. The new receptionist who calls the employees to the front desk to collect the food piques the driver's interest, and he asks her out once. The receptionist is uninterested and refuses to help. The driver is however determined and takes it upon himself to seduce the new receptionist. He gives chocolates, small bottles of wine, or jewelry to the receptionist once a week or so, but not every day. The receptionist is completely uninterested. Is this a case of harassment? (3) New Human Resources Manager You are a new Human Resources Manager. On the first day of your job the General Manager instructs you to take disciplinary action immediately against an employee who is currently on vacation. The employee was charged and convicted in a magistrate’s court for presenting forged documents to a credit union when he applied for a loan of $2500. The employee needed the loan for a medical procedure for his two-year-old son. What action would you take and why? (4) Letter of Dismissal A dismissed employee received the following letter a week after a formal disciplinary meeting. What if anything is wrong with the letter? Please let me have your responses.
